Kijik Lands

Under the terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), Kijik Corporation received title to approximately 126,000 acres of surface estate encompassing Lake Clark and Six Mile Lake, approximately 160 miles southwest of Anchorage. The subsurface estate was conveyed to the regional corporation, Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC). The development that has occurred on Kijik land has been the Keyes Point subdivision where, 300 remote recreational lots were created for sale to the public.

Recreational Land Use Permit

Kijik Corporation welcomes visitors, but land use policies do require that non-shareholders obtain a land use permit prior to entering or visiting Kijik land. Permits are granted for non-motorized access for non- consumptive purposes only. “Non-consumptive” activities may include but not limit to hiking, biking, skiing, sightseeing and other passive recreational uses.
